The following tutorial will show you the steps to create a new blog post.
Step 1: Log into WordPress and click on the menu “Dashboard > Posts > All Posts”
Step 2 : Hover the “Do I need a Root Canal” blog and click on “Duplicate This”
Step 3 : Hover the new duplicated draft post and click on “Edit”
Step 4 : Edit the blog title
Step 5 : Also edit the Permalink so it matches the blog title
Step 6 : Hover the first block of text and click on the pencil icon
Step 7 : Make sure the “Visual” tab is selected. Click if it is not.
Step 8 : Delete the old text and paste in your new blog text
Step 9 : Click the blue “Save changes” button when done
The “Root Canal” blog post contains section titles that have a gold line separators like shown in the red box below :
Step 10 : If you don’t need any of these separators you can delete all other sections by clicking the “X” icons
Step 11 (optional) : If you do need the separators, hover the (“Separator with Text”) sections that look empty and click the pencil to edit.
Step 12 (optional) : A “Separator with Text” popup will appear – Scroll down to the very bottom and edit the “text” box
Step 13 (optional) : Click the blue “Save changes” button
The next 3 steps are optional. They show you how to create bullet points if you need them.
Step 14 (optional) :Type in each point on a new line. Highlight only the points when done.
Step 15 (optional) : Click on the “Bulleted List” icon to add the bullets
Step 16 (optional) : Click the blue “Save changes” button
Step 17 : Scroll down the page until you find the “Excerpt” section and enter the excerpt for this blog post.
Step 18 : Choose “Chestermere Station Dentistry” as the author.
Step 19 : Scroll down the page to the very bottom and click on the “Featured Image” and then select an existing image or drag and drop to upload a new image.
Step 20 : Scroll to the very top of the page and click on the blue “Publish” button which will make your blog post visible to the public.
